Updated books/fics won't send to Kindle

I use Calibre's email to device function to get around my lack of available USB ports for sideloading. But lately if I try to send a new, updated version of a book or fanfic to my Kindle, it'll send...but the old version will appear, not the version with new chapters. I've checked and deleted any prior versions that were copied to Amazon Documents, but the problem persists. I asked over in the Fanficfare Plugin thread, but the problem isn't that the fics aren't updated. The updated versions sit in Calibre just fine. But for whatever reason, Send via Email keeps sending the old version, not the new one.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
