Author's photo in detail of the book

I was wondering can you put the author's photo on the detail flap of the book.

You mean in the book details panel? Or in the book itself?

In the detail panel of the book, but on second thought that would increase the size of the database, I am left with the option of clicking on the author and searching for him on wikipedia. Where could I edit the wikipedia path to bring me the page in another language? by default it opens at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Gorriti and I would like it to open at https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Gorriti

Tag Browser > Right-click authors > Manage Authors,
you can put URLs in there.

Also Preferences > Look and Feel > Book details > Clicking on author name should:
there's a few author search options. Author links will override them all (even the Calibre search option, which I found strange enough to report as a bug).

Maybe not exactly what you were asking about, but I keep a folder for alternate cover versions, back covers and miscellaneous graphics and pictures related to my ebooks, and have made a link to the pic in the Comments field:

(under the HTML Source tab)

If there are spaces in the filename, Calibre converts them into "%20" so it will look strange if you edit it later.

I kept the width of the thumbnail at 150 pixels to fit the narrow Details strip, but it links to the full-size picture when clicked on.
