Bookmark Display Bug?

I noticed that for every kepub I had, if I bookmarked a page, the bookmark will show the chapter name followed by %{1?}. Is this a bug of the system?

Interestingly, if I switch the system language back to English, problem would be solved. However, if I continue with Chinese, all bookmarks would have this problem.

I think they used full-width characters for "%{1?}" in the UI translation so the system does not recognize it as a placeholder and displays the text literally. It also happens when the system is set to Japanese language (see attached pic).

Definitely an annoying bug I have been coping with since I had this reader. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an easy way of reporting bugs to Kobo.

I would call Kobo and report the bug that way. There is no feedback available on the website except for feedback about the website, and if you attempt to chat with Kobo CS on the website, after you get past Minerva, the CS agents will ask you to factory reset your Kobo, as if that will fix *their* Asian character set bug. I’ve had much better results when talking to the phone reps.

LMAO the online chat is not helpful at all. Will try to reach out to them via phone or email instead. Thanks for letting us know this experience.

For what it may be worth, I reported the bug to Kobo and a ticket has been created for it.
