Import of all Calibre data fails

Attempts to import a Calibre data export made on 28/06/20 into a new blank library fails with this message:
calibre, version 5.8.1
ERROR: Not valid: The folder J:\USB Copy_2021-01-01_190917 is not valid: The exported data in part-0011.calibre-data is not valid, version (3833450495) is higher than maximum supported version. You might need to upgrade calibre first.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "calibre\gui2\dialogs\exim.py", line 264, in select_import_folder
File "calibre\utils\exim.py", line 254, in __init__
ValueError: The exported data in part-0011.calibre-data is not valid, version (3833450495) is higher than maximum supported version. You might need to upgrade calibre first.

The export was made from w10 PC (doubt if Calibre had an outstanding update) directly to a Synology NAS server. Import is from USB stick with files written on the server - avoiding date changes on copy from Linux to W10.

Any pointers to a solution?

That error indicates a corrupted file. Re-export and you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply.
For future reference is there any way to check the integrity of an "export"?

Take an md5sum of the files and verify against that.
