Metadata upload corrected / fixed

Hi, I would like to know if I can upload the correct metadata for an ebook that is wrong. When an Ebook is wrong I usually edit the metadata individually, but I wanted to upload the correct information so that the main database can be fixed and help other users who get the same ebook with the wrong metadata. Does anyone know how to do this?

There is no main database with ebook metadata.

It's not like the track data for CDs where there's a de-facto central database maintained by GraceNote.

Paper books aren't obliged to have ISBNs, but it's tricky for a physical bookshop or a customer to order the correct edition without an ISBN. Books can have the same title and be unrelated. Authors exist with the same names.

And I've had plenty of CDs that are not in that database. It's mostly good for CDs commercially marketed to real shops. That is, that they have retail barcodes. Compilations as magazine cover discs are rarely in the database.
