Does Oasis 10th gen has stability issues with KOReader?
After 3 months with Libra 2 and its broken kernel (those damn random freezes really piss me off), I've decided to look for another e-reader and ditch the libra. Was thinking about Oasis 10th gen or Boox Leaf, but again didn't find any info regarding the stability of Oasis and KOReader. Any help?

KOReader is stable on all Kindles including Oasis.
The only question is that the device must be jailbroken to run KOReader. Jailbreak is unavailable for Kindles with firmware version 5.14.3 and higher. |

Chances are if you buy a Kindle now, it won't be able to be jailbroken.

Which is one of the reasons I didn't buy one in the recent sales. Such a waste of good hardware.

Oh, so that's the hidden problem. Thanks, guys. I'll ask my store what version of firmware they sell. The Kindle isn't officially sold in my country, so maybe I'll get lucky or I'll buy the Leaf 2 instead.
Too bad the Libra 2 is so buggy. I really like this device. I don't really believe that they will find the solution to a broken kernel... |

Buggy is not the right word. But who knows, perhaps a broken kernel can be called a buggy one. If I encounter freezes 2-3 times during an hour of reading, I'd call the HW buggy. I'm still testing, what can be the source though. Somehow If I don't use the mechanical buttons, the device seems more stable. Somehow it is correlating with the battery level. If it is lower the device is more stable. Weird. |

This bug is with Koreader and Libra 2? Is it not possible to use a different combination of Koreader and Kobo FW versions? First I've heard of it.
Edit: Okay, I see it is. First I've heard. |
