Boox Note vs Note 3/2 (speed improvement?)

Hello to all, I have the first Note released by Boox, and I wonder if someone could help to understand if I upgrade to Note 3 I will get noticeable speed improvement (I think the display itself is slow).

I don't take notes normally and I use it as a book reader (pdfs and epub) and maybe for browsing internet, Note 1 for browsing internet is useless because is too slow.

What are your experiences?
Thanks!

I have a note 3 and it is great for browsing the internet. I even watch youtube sometimes.
Maybe w8 for my deep guide review.

My old Note is running the latest software and it looks pretty good.. and although it is still a bit sluggish, it always was.. so it would be good if anyone could post some real metrics? Does anyone have any benchmark numbers for the Note series? I was looking at Geekbench but it seems that the Note3 is pretty much the same as the Note2. Thing is, if you replace a quad processor device with an octa processor device.. you're not getting a doubling in power. A 30% increase in processor speed is nothing if your memory is running like a dog.

What are the main differences between the Note 2 and 3?

@alexo - per the other thread you opened.. Note2/3/Air comparison video.

However, the OP wants to know how much better are Note2/Note Air/Note3 than the original Note, and having a Note Plus (same hardware pretty much) , I can tell you that the PCMark on that device comes in at 2781 on the Work 2.0 benchmark, versus 6295 (or thereabouts according to my deep guide) on the Note2/3/Air trio.

So roughly speaking the newer models should be twice as fast. That's the theory anyway, but I can tell you that as I happen to have a Note2 at the moment as well (because I'm upgrading, and not because I'm a marketing person in disguise on Youtube), the actual reading and notetaking and browsing performance is pretty much the same between the original device and the newer ones.

It also helps that you can run the latest 3.0 software now on all the Note platforms, so unless you want certain hardware/OS dependent features (e.g. fingerprint reader, backlight, gestures, split screen etc) then it is probably not worth upgrading. I wanted the newer features but didn't want to pay for the latest latest models, I'll take the 100 bucks I saved and spend it on eBooks and beer!

I can't say anything about Note 2/3 and Nova 2/3.
But I have Poke 2 and Poke 3, with the same differences - both have OS3.
The only difference in the two devices that I noticed is the power consumption in standby (standby screen with clock, updated every minute).
Poke 2 consumes 11%, Poke 3 8% within 24 hours.
