Editor Saved Searches Lost

Hi All

After an HDD failure I decided it was time for a new PC.
I've now reinstalled Calibre and, as I'd backed up my Calibre libraries to a flash drive, I was able to import all of my books without any problems - so far so good.

On my old PC I had a lot (say about 20) Editor saved searches. Some of these searches took quite a lot of time and effort to write so I would like to recover them if possible. I hadn't exported them so unfortunately there wasn't a back up.

I can see all of the files on my old C: drive from a command prompt. I've looked in AppData and Program Files but can't see anything that might be my searches. Are the saved searches in there somewhere? Can I get them back?

Thanks - Moldy

They will be in the calibre config directory, whose location you can find in Preferences->Miscellaneous, it will be ina similar location on your old hard disk.

Thank you very much Kovid - I now have all my saved searches back.

For anyone else needing to do this:

The searches didn't all work because some of them call Regex Functions. The functions aren't in the tweak_book_gui file they are in the editor-search-replace-functions file.

My Path was:
..\Users\Moldy\AppData\Roaming\calibre\tweak_book_ gui.json
..\Users\Moldy\AppData\Roaming\calibre\editor-search-replace-functions.json

I just copied and pasted all the saved searches from the old files to the new.
(Be carefull of the syntax! - there are commas after each search except the final one)
