Overdrive Weirdness
Of late I've been viewing lots of books from the Toronto Public Library to my Libra using the direct Kobo integration.

I've noticed on many occasions that while initially a sync downloads the new book in "Overdrive" format, subsequent syncs will eventually download the Overdrive a second time and a copy in "Kobo Preview" form, and if course resetting my reading location in the book.

Anyone else seeing this?

I haven't seen this behavior from my libraries. I wonder what could be causing it?

Happens every time I sideload an overdrive book and then have to re-sideload the renewed version.

And now that I have a forma, if I get impatient about waiting for it to show up and sideload a book I checked out from the library, eventually I'll have a second copy pulled from kobo.

But it's got nothing to do with renewed copies. It happens the same day the book has been checked out of the library

When it happened to me, the books were neither sideloaded nor renewed. They were books obtained through syncing my Clara.

This has happened only a few times since I got my Clara in summer 2019.
