Disable Device Management

I do not want calibre to detect my devices. Right now the only workaround I found is to not have calibre run when I connect my Kindle.

In Preferences->Plugins->Device Interface, everything is disabled (took 5 minutes to disable them all one by one), including MTP, but surprisingly as soon as I connect the kindle, calibre starts managing it.

I have followed the steps described here:

Could I be overlooking something? Thanks.

I'm using the latest versions of MacOS and Calibre.

calibre cant possibly be managing your device if you have disabled the device plugins. And you dont need to disable them all just th eones with kindle in their names.
