Perhaps we could get a hotkey to quickly highlight selected text with default setting
Seems like a good addition to the new highlight functionality, which I very much love so far.

You can add a button to do that to the popup bar in the viewer preferences under selection behavior. Dont see much point in adding a shortcut for it, since you have to sleect with the mouse anyway,

It would be nice if there was a way to select text via keyboard, but it'd probably be some amount of work to implement.
