AppData\Roaming\cali_core4

I noticed that I have a folder "AppData\Roaming\cali_core4"

It appears to be Calibre-related

Can I delete it?

What makes you think it is Calibre related?
(not here on my windows system, Calibre 5.2)

I've run most versions of Calibre and I too do not have that directory. I would say it's nothing to do with Calibre.

Basically, because it's full of Calibre related files (attached)

I did download and look at the Reformat PI -- I wonder if that's it?

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=332268

But I run a pretty vanilla Calibre

That looks like some sort of vbackup gon wrong. If the PI was installed normally, I don't see a backup happening. Maybe some expert needs to review that PI code

I don't have that folder.

I did some googling for cali_core4 and it does seem that it contains calibre code and DLLs. I didn't try to work out why, but I don't think it is reformat. It looks more like some other packaging of calibre.

The site https://www.advanceduninstaller.com/...pplication.htm contains instructions on how to uninstall calibre 4.6.0. The equivalent instructions for other calibre releases do not mention cali_core4.

Spoiler:
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\calib re-eject.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\calib re-file-dialog.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\calib re-launcher.dll
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\cjpeg-calibre.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\jpegt ran-calibre.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\JxrDe cApp-calibre.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\DLLs\optip ng-calibre.exe
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ calibre-ebook-root-CA.crt
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ calibre-mimetypes.xml
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ calibre-portable.bat
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ calibre-portable.sh
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ content-server\calibre.appcache
AppData\Roaming\cali_core4\cali_win\app\resources\ content-server\calibre.png

My guess is you can delete it.

I first renamed it and then ran Calibre and a bunch of options

Everything still seems to work OK so I did delete it

Was just funny to have it pop up all of a sudden on my backup logs
