				Reference Mode and Go To

I've been searching for info on this and have found zilch. I'd like to document certain things in an e-book and reference exact locations in the book. If I turn on Reference Mode, I get the nifty little box showing me the current section (corresponding to an HTML file, I think) and paragraph numbers.

If I click "Go to" and then "Location", there's a box to enter a location. If I type in one of those Reference Mode locations and click "Go", it jumps off into the wild blue yonder, not even close to what I wanted. So I must not be using the "Go to" thing correctly. The Calibre User Manual was not much help on this. Anybody got some tips? |

Well, I did figure out that if I turn on the "Position in Book" footer, and type that position into the "Go to" box, it works. Is this "Position in Book" number reliable and constant? It doesn't change with a new release of Calibre or the size of the viewer window or the font size, or anything like that?

Guess I don't quite understand the usefulness of the Reference Mode number. |

Go to works fine with reference mode numbers, prefix them with

Thanks much! If I had looked at the "Go to" window a little more closely I might have figured that out.
