Question Tag browser: Expand subgroups hierarchy "as always"
I know I can Expand Tag browser (+ it's subgroups tree) but whenever we restart Calibre again it collapse them by default.

How to make certain user preferred subgroups tree Expand "as always" ?

I don't know why your columns are not keeping their width. But you can use the View Manager plugin to keep your columns at the widths you want.

Paradoxically, that usually happens if the view manager plugin has the incorrect width saved.

I kind of suspect the OP is talking about the tag browser though. I don't think it's possible to automatically expand any categories upon launch.

Sorry, yes I was talking about "Expand tag browser - as always - on restart" feature request.
Ideas:
1. Expand all tag browsers
2. Expand user preferred tag browsers
3. Expand tag browsers as user open them last time by default (IMO this should be the default behavior for calibre)

Looks like they are stored in JSON format under preferences...
I assume you have the ViewManager plugin installed.

You can set them in the book list by sizing the headers and then use View Manager -> Save View Columns.

What I meant was expand preferred Tag browser & their sub groups on calibre start by default.

@JSWolf @Karellen @BetterRed What you guys suggested is for columns. (my bad I mentioned it my 1st comment as I didn't know the name of that feature)

@ownedbycats Yes you're right I was asking about that. If it's not possible, I'd like to create a feature request for that as I suggested :
