Calibre 5.1, Changing Libraries fails

The Choose Library button loads an incorrect library, the button does not change its label, and it usually locks up the program. Chaotic/inconsistent results. This was noticed after laptop had upgraded Windows 10, Calibre updated to vrs 5.1. and a thumb drive had been accessed and failed. All separate events over a month before I got back to Calibre and found the failure.

Primary Library (17,876 books) and a few very small libraries. They all appear intact (File Explorer) but the Change Library button appears not to index them correctly.

I don't want to try to randomly change things hoping that they work without some direction.

Use the Remove Libra y choice on the menu (It is really a FORGET about. The actual Library remains)
Then re-link . You can't forget the current Library. You need to change over to another before it will appear on the list

Thanks - sounds straight forward. First stage worked.

How do you re-link to the library directory and name it?

Same place
Switch/Create: Use Existing :<navigate to the Library folder>
