Calibre update 5.0.0 - please help
Hi, I've updated Calibre to version 5.0.0 and now Apprentice Alf de-drm (v 6.8.0) doesn't work. I'm trying to reinstall the plug-in from the folder I saved it in last time, but it just doesn't work. Do I have to wait for a new version of Apprentice Alf's tools to be made available? Alternatively, if I can't work it out, can I roll back Calibre to the previous version?

I did the same thing. You can roll back for now, download the last version here: https://download.calibre-ebook.com/4.23.0/

If you run Windows, install the 4.23 portable and the DeDRM plugin and then you can use 4.23 to add books to the library and 5.x for everything else.

If you haven't been desperately hanging out for ePub Annotations I'd roll back to 4.23 and get on with life while waiting for the dust to settle and deDRM to turn up.

Thanks all. I was able to sort this by reinstalling 4.23 and uninstalling 5.0.0.
