backup all "Notes" - Touch Lux 2 and Lux 3
Hi, is there a way how I can easily backup my "Notes" (the sentences I marked as interesting).
Preferably a way to get this backed up into calibre? This would be great. Cheers Last edited by likeFree; 06-06-2017 at 04:19 PM. |

Or does anybody know in which file the notes are stored?
I wrote a message on pocketbook-int.com but they didn't reply yet. |

Now the customer service of pocketbook replied. They were very helpful.
In short: Notes are stored on the pocketbook in the folder /system/config/Active Contents if one is using multiple user profiles, than notes are stored in system/profiles/name_profile/config/Active Contents Those files (folders + html files) can be moved to a new device and if the same booksare on the new device notes should be the same as on the old device. aka: a backup. Edit: on Windows you might have to enable hidden folders to see the folder /system on the pocketbook |

You didn't mention which model you use, I just saw it under your username. I suggest, next time you should put the model in the title name, because ...
the way you described worked up until to the Pocketbook Touch Lux3. But on the latest model, the Pocketbook Touch HD, things are different. The HD stores the notes differently, in one big db-file. Right now, it is not possible to extract this notes in any form. So when I saw your post, at first I thought you use the HD. Several people (including me) already wrote to the support. At first, they said that everything is like you described, but then, after some more contact, the tech support realised, that something has changed. They said, they are working on an extractor that will come with a future firmware. They even said it will be firmware version 5.18. Right now we are on 5.16 I just wanted to add this, for anyone who is also interested in exporting the notes. |

As NASCARaddicted, with the firmware v5.20 (at least on the Touch Lux 3), the 'Active Contents' folder does not exist anymore!
With firmware v5.20, Notes can be exported using the 'Notes' app (found in the same screen where the chess and sudoku apps are placed). HTML rendering has become much nicer, too. |
