Returning an Overdrive book

Seems that now if I return a book via my Amazon content page (doing it twice as always) it remains charged out to me until I return it via my public library account.

Yep Return via Overdrive then make sure its Deleted from your Account on the Contant & Devices page also remove from ALL your devices.

It seems to be an issue with Amazon’s service of late; it isn’t forwarding the return request to Overdrive. Even after you return it, Overdrive still thinks it is checked out. I have to use their app to return early.

Yes if you don’t want it to show in your Library (and don’t care about reading position, notes etc.) you can Delete. But that is the way it has always worked.

Used to be that I'd return the book on the Amazon webpage, then delete the book on the Amazon webpage, and then it would automatically disappear from the Overdrive webpage for the specific library I borrowed it from.

Not any more. As of several months (a year?) ago. The actions taken on the Amazon webpage do not seem to be communicated to Overdrive any more. Now, I do the return and delete on the Amazon webpage as I did before, and additionally I go to the Overdrive webpage for my library and redundantly return it there. THEN it's gone. But not before.

Yes, it’s broken. Might be worth reporting it to Overdrive and/or Amazon. Overdrive support is pretty good, at least you get a human response.

I’d also like to know why Libby app isn’t available for Fire tablet from Amazon App Store. Are they even updating the Overdrive app any more?
