Multiple authors - how does Calibre decide the folder structure?
Mostly out of curiosity. I don't intend to go tampering around with the folder structure.
When fixing up the metadata of books in PDF format, when I add an extra author sometimes I have to close the file because Calibre wants to move the book to a new location. But sometimes it doesn't. (Related: Does anyone know of a PDF viewer that doesn't lock the stupid files when they're open?) Last edited by ownedbycats; 08-30-2020 at 09:37 PM. |

Thank you
Aside from messing about with custom columns, is there any way to set the 'main' author? I'd assume no |

Ok I figured that out now.
![]() EDIT: I found the "edit authors" (it's a little hidden in the context menu). It makes the author sort column turn red though until I fix it. Is that supposed to happen? Last edited by ownedbycats; 08-31-2020 at 05:30 PM. |

Just click the right arrow to auto-regenerate the author sort.
