Using Google account for sending ebooks to Kindle

Hi.

I have been using my Google account (Gmail) for sending ebooks to my Kindle and my friends' Kindles. But I am very tired of Google regime with less safe apps. I have to re-enable this every month or so, because Google disable this feature. Anyone have a solution to either permanent accept Calibre login to Google account, or to solve this problems in other ways? I know I can switch to GMX account or Hotmail account, but then all my friends have to update their kindle-settings to accept ebooks from another email address. And some of my friends are not that good at changing these kinds of settings.

Any good advice out there?

I don't have to reset my "less secure apps" options in my gmail account ever. It's on and just stays on (not sure if Calibre actually needs it, but I use other apps that do). The setting is here: https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps

Are you using a gsuite account for a business or school that's controlled by a central administrator? They might be turning it off.

Calibre need this feature enabled, otherwise it fail sending books using Gmail account. And I use the same setting page to reset this every time Google turn "less secure apps" off. Strange that you don't need to re-enable this setting, when I have to do this pretty often.

I do not use gsuite account or anythiing like that, it is my private Gmail account.

Here's some info from other people having similar issues with Google turning off this setting: https://support.google.com/accounts/...16759484?hl=en

They have a few suggestions that might help. Good luck!
