Which E-ink phone should I buy ?
Former Yotaphone 2 owner here. Apart from some flaws (white display lines, bad chargery socket) - I was pleased with it, especially the matte EPD. I used the EPD as my main display as it was very eye-friendly. I had the chinese version of the phone and thus no google play which was (very) annoying.
I plan on using my next E-ink phone the same way. I did some research and I'm presented with these options. Hisense A5 (or color versions) Hisense A6/A6L Hisense A2pro Yota 3+international I lean towards the Hisense A5 with Google play although I don't know if having no second LCD Display will be a nuisance. The Hisense A6 sounds like what I'd prefer the most but there is no Google play which was a major disturbance with my YP 2. Apparently, The Hisense A2pro and Yota3 both have Google play. Both are not getting Android updates anymore (neither is the modded H A5) but do I really need them ? I doubt I'll be using it more than 2 years anyway ? |
