How to remove books permanently
Greets to all. I installed Calibre, plugged in my device which is detected in Calibre and send the eBook to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 where I installed Amazon Kindle app. The book is working awesome and no problems whatsoever.
My issue is when I delete the book from Amazon Kindle app on my device, it says it has been deleted. However when I go back to my device I still see it in my Library. I've tried every possible way that I know and searched the Internet how to remove the book but nothing seems to work. Is there any way to remove the book permanently? Please help. Thanks in advance. There is confusion because there a different things going on.
Calibre on you PC is 'The Library' ![]() Kindle app seems to scan you device for books and shows them as being in the Kindle Content Library. Deleting those NEVER touches your PC's (Calibre) Library Depending on how you sent them, books may be in other places (or Libraries) on your device. The Kindle app may not be able to delete them. With Calibre showing tick in the On Device column (only shows when a device is connected), right-click: Remove books from device (if Calibre found more copies, it shows all found..you can choose which to delete) |

Hi there, I think you missed my point.
In reply to your first paragraph; Yes I know that Calibre on my PC is the Library. I connected my Samsung Galaxy Tab and I sent an eBook from Calibre to my Android device. Your 2nd paragraph; Yes Kindle app scans but I've deleted the book from Kindle app on my Android device. I do not have the book stored anywhere else on my device except when it was imported to my device. Once deleted it still shows up on my Library Tab on Kindle app which I do not have the option to delete but download the book once more. I also tried that option in your last paragraph but to no avail. |

In your Kindle App on your Android device, at the top of your Library tab, there are options for ALL and DOWNLOADED. If you are looking at the "ALL" list, it's showing you what's available in your Amazon account and giving you the option to download it from there. This is not related to Calibre in any way.
To delete books from your Amazon account, go to https://www.amazon.com/hz/mycd/myx and delete from there. If you do that, you're discarding a book that you purchased, and you'll have to buy it again if you ever lose the copy that you had downloaded and imported into Calibre. For most people it's better not to delete purchases. |
