Save battery
Is there an item that can be disabled in the configuration to save battery power? Apart from the wifi and the light?

Not really. Are you actually having battery issues, or is this fear talking?

There are also e-ink screen tweaks, like disabling automatic "full refresh" of the screen and setting a gesture to do a manual full refresh if you start to notice screen artifacts.
I'm not sure how significant the battery savings are, since this is a bit of a quality-of-life downgrade. |

I seem to recall that, if any, the difference in power draw between a refresh and a flashing refresh are indeed insignificant.

You mean the screen itself is insignificant compared to the other parts? Seems like there's an awful lot more happening in a full flash. :P

But if the power draw between a partial refresh and a full refresh is negligible, it means it's all about the CPU/controller and not about actually magnetizing the ink particles, which I find at least a little bit surprising.

A (full) non-flashing refresh will only do marginally less work than a flashing one.
