MAX2 ghosting on hdmi feature after update
hi
my device is onyx max 2 , not pro.
so i have been using the pc screen mirror with great joy.
but than i made a foolish decision to update the most basic firmware version and now the screen is all ghosting in this feature. no matter what mode i am choosing.
files feedback , no real solution. they don't want to give me the upx file to rollback to original and earliest version.
can anybody send me or tell me how to rollback to original firmware?
this was the main feature i used this device, and now onyx support just don't let me change firmware.. frustrating..
help please?

yes and they just told me to reset the device. but it didnt solve anything. and they are unwilling to send old firmware, which had a perfect performance in relation with the monitor app...
maybe someone can send me the apk of the montior app from old firmwares?

Firmware downgrades don't always work on the Boox. Some versions permit downgrades, others don't. This issue has happened before with 1.9 / 1.8 and 2.1 / 2.0, when people couldn't downgrade even if they had the older firmware. It may well be that 2.2 can't be downgraded to 2.1.

If you're willing to take the risk, the firmware for 2.1.2 appears to be online even now. See

A second (and simpler) option you might try: one of the users of this forum (mdb) created a modified monitor apk, which might solve your problem.

To use it, you will need to install the apk on your Boox, and use it instead of the built-in monitor app. You may also need to run the Python script on your desktop.

hi
I downloaded the modified and older apk, it doesnt really help because the whole tablet is ghosting more than usual, no matter what mode is picked- SPEED MODE,X MODE, WHATEVER MODE.
just threw my money down the toilet by updating.
i tried signing up to their forums and tell them, but they would send email verification . just great. lol

the Python script is similiar to the apk right? it wouldnt be any differenet than running the apk as ghosting concerned right?
