Series appears in title of book when saved to disk

Hi all.

I hope I am posting this in the correct forum, as I am not sure which forum my query belongs to.

In my calibre library, I have the following information for a book in the following columns:

Title: Delphi Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe (Illustrated)
Author: Edgar Allan Poe
Series: Delphi Main Series 01 [04]

My "Saving books to disk" preferences are:

Template: {author}/{title} - {author}
Update metadata in saved copies: checked

So When I "Save to Disk" for this particular book, I get the filename Delphi Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe (Illustrated) - Edgar Allan Poe.epub in a folder with name Edgar Allen Poe.

All well and good.

When I add this book to MableRead on my iPad, the title of the book shows up as: Delphi Main Series 01 04: Delphi Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe (Illustrated)

Why is this happening? I would like the Title of the book to be Delphi Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe (Illustrated) as in my Calibre library.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Aha! Eureka!

Sorry everyone, solved my own problem. For other newbies, you need to change the plugboard (in Preferences: Import/Export: Metadata plugboards).

Then select "epub:save_to_disk" and in the Destination field of "title" just enter {title}.

I hope this helps someone else that is just starting out like me.

For the record, there are no default metadata plugboards. If there are any there, you must have created it.

No, just clear it. Anything that is not set in the metadata plugboard just uses the metadata value. And if you aren't making any changes, you probably should delete the plugboard.

You are so right. After clicking on the "default" button, all the plugboards that were there disappeared.
