Conversion to epub from lit... boldface??

I converted some .lit files to epub using ebook-convert. Usually this works like a charm, no brainer. But for some reason this time, the output epub files all seem to be set in boldface, and I don't see a text option in my reader (Marvin) to turn it off. I can change fonts and sizes but so far no luck getting rid of the boldface.

I'm guessing I'll have to dig into the epubs and fix it internally, which is a bit beyond my skill set at present (but an opportunity to learn!). Any thoughts? has anyone else ended up with an entire book in boldface? (It's readable, but rather fatiguing).

You can use the settings in the look & feel section of the conversion dialog to override this.
