Global text search for Calibre

There is global metadata search for calibre libraries, with support of RegEx support to find book title, author and summary etc. Also there is content/text search in calibre viewer for any opened individual book.

Is it possible to have global content/text search capability for active calibre library, without opening individual books one by one?

This would be essential for book content research, in addition to book library management.

Thanks for any comments or suggestion.

I use external search tools to search contents. Mainly Windows Search, but also X1 and File Locator, they all interoperate with the Drop Search plugin, see Index of plugins.

I also use this EPUB IFilter ==>> Content Search EPUB.

Thanks for the advice!
I was hoping if possible, with calibre viewer merging into the main program in the future, making calibre desktop experience a whole, with both library management and content research for ebook collections.

Curious : what do you mean by "… with calibre viewer merging into the main program in the future, …"?

My calibre libraries only represent a portion of the datasets I search. So, I anticipate I'll always use a general purpose search tool that allows me to search ebooks, blog posts, emails, spreadsheets, lyrics etc.
