KeyError: u'format_group'

Hi,

I am running an old Debian 32bit server with calibre server 3.7 (yes, I know that this is old ).
Updating calibre to Version 3.48 was OK. Listing ebooks gives no errors. But when I try to add ebooks to the library I get this error:

$ /usr/bin/calibredb --with-library http://localhost:8081 --username=*** --password=*** add --recurse /path_to/ebooks/

Traceback (most recent call last):

Any help appreciated besides hints to update the complete server (which at the moment is no option).

That error should basically be impossible, it indicates a function is missing. I dont really have anything useful for you.

sorry to hear that.

Now I try to downgrade to the last version working properly on my old server - 3.7.
But I cannot install it because of this error:

__main__.HTTPError: https://code..calibre-ebook.com/sign...686.tgx.sha512 returend an unsupported http response code: 404 (Not found)

Seems like the signature for the tarball is missing.
Any clues?

I dont think really old signatures are kept around forever. You can always download and install it manually, https://download.calibre-ebook.com/3.7.0/
