Boox Max2 stylus too sensitive

Hello,

I have Max2 since late 2017 and used it as e-reader mostly.
Now I'm trying to make some sketches with original stylus and Note app. However the stylus is way too sensitive to the extent that it writes even while being 5mm above the screen in the air. Handwriting appears quite messy because of this issue. Recorded a video of it https://youtu.be/ujM5rkoxke4

Is there a way to calibrate stylus sensitivity?

Contacted Boox support. They suggest that my stylus could be source of this problem. They recommend to try another one.
I don't have another stylus so I'd have to order it. The original costs about 40 euro, seems quite a bit. Are there cheaper styluses compatible with Max2?

Any Wacom stylus should be fine, so maybe try to find one in the local stores and try it.

Ordered BOOX Wacom stylus. Works fine and the problem is gone.
