Advanced DRM removal question!
Hello all! I have had great luck with the DeDRM plug in to add my purchased books to Calibre.
Here's my issue: I have purchased a bunch of magazines through an app that is available for iPhone and Android from a French publisher. The app only allows viewing the magazine in their app, which is of course an extremely inconvenient format for a variety of reasons. I'd like to import them into my Calibre library. After some poking around, I found that there's an internal file folder in the Android files area which contains a password protected encrypted PDF of the magazine, as well as a .JSON file which probably has some link to the password (I am guessing.) My question is: does anyone know if there is some way I can figure out the password to decrypt the file? (I also of course know the decrypted file contents, in case that allows me to reverse engineer the key!) Just curious if anyone has thoughts! This is all content I own. Thank you. |
