Question Send to Dropbox?

I've used Calibre to send books to my Kindle, and it's worked pretty well thanks to the great device links folks have made. But for my iPad, I was considering just sending books to Dropbox, and opening them from there in whichever reader I'm currently favoring. (Yes, I've tried CalibreCompanion, and Marvin3's content server linking, but wanted to consider a more "cross-app" approach).

I could manually copy the epub on Windows to a Dropbox folder via a browser, but I wondered if there is a "send to Dropbox" plugin or appraoach so I could send interesting books there for reading on the iPad, all from within Calibre?

I don't use the Dropbox client, as I don't need it for anything other than, well, this, and I don't plan to store my entire library on the cloud. Is there a trick you folks use to easily send a file to some cloud file store (like dropbox or any of the others) from within Calibre?

The iPad Kindle app would have a Kindle email address to use, just an actual Kindle device.

You can also use the Files app on the iPad and access those files via iCloud in a browser from your computer. There are several ways to go about managing files between the iPad and a computer.

With Onedrive I direct the Save to Disk feature to a Books subfolder in the Onedrive folder, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't do similar with Dropbox.

I can access the Onedrive Books folder from my phone and tablet (both Android), and my MS Surface Go (Windows).

I only keep books I am currently reading and a few reference texts on Onedrive.

Good point: if I'm already making a mobi for the USB Kindle, I could also do the email trick.

The Files app is still a bit wonky. You basically wind up "sharing" the book into the reader of choice, so you wind up with multiple copies: 1 in icloud, one in private storage of the epub reader. Still, good callout: I wonder if any of the ereader apps would just use a folder in icloud Drive so one less thing to manage...

That's not a bad idea, given that OneDrive is automagically installed in Windows. I'm trying not to install any more cloud clients on the box, but since OneDrive is already there...
