New PC, Kindle for PC and Calibre versions

Hello All

Hope I'm posting this in the current forum.
Currently I have a Win 7 PC running Calibre v 3.12 and Kindle for PC v 1.17.0 (44170)and Adobe Digital Editions v 4.5.6

I have a Win 10 64-bit PC on order, expecting it beginning of June.

Is there a later version of Kindle for PC that I can use, or is v 1.17.0 still the latest version that will work properly with Calibre?

Does the Adobe Digital Editions have problems like Kindle for PC does? Or can I update that software to the latest version?

And what order do I download all the software?

First I'll download the latest version of Calibre to the new PC (v 4.15.0) and that should work with my current Calibre files?

Then download the Kindle for PC software.

Or does it matter?

Calibre doesn't depend on any version of Kindle for PC nor ADE. I suspect that you're asking about compatibility with a particular plugin that is explicitly not a part of Calibre, and for which discussion is not allowed on this forum.

Kindle for PC version 1.17 and ADE version 2.0.1 are the best for the Alf plugin. It doesn't matter in what order you install them.
