Error on trying to update Metainformations
Hi,
since a couple of weeks, I always get an Error prompt, when I try to update Metainformations for an ebook. Code:
I can continue to click on OK and retry the update a couple of times, then it will be accepted on the third, sometimes fourth try. I believe it's not a bug within calibre, but has to do with my installed Python or another Windows Library. (F.e. I installed Visual Studio, some months ago). Anyway I have no idea how to fix that problem. I attached the error details below. Is there anybody who knows, how to solve my problem? Thanks Code:
calibre, version 4.15.0 FEHLER: Unbehandelter Ausnahmefehler: <b>error</b>:(32, 'DeleteFile', 'Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird.') calibre 4.15 embedded-python: True is64bit: False Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 Windows ('32bit', 'WindowsPE') 32bit process running on 64bit windows ('Windows', '10', '10.0.18362') Python 2.7.16+ Windows: ('10', '10.0.18362', 'SP0', u'Multiprocessor Free') Interface language: de Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\metadata\single.py", line 690, in next_clicked File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\metadata\single.py", line 615, in apply_changes File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\metadata\basic_widgets.py", line 408, in commit File "site-packages\calibre\db\legacy.py", line 806, in func File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 62, in call_func_with_lock File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 1122, in set_field File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 1136, in update_path File "site-packages\calibre\db\backend.py", line 1621, in update_path File "site-packages\calibre\utils\filenames.py", line 471, in delete_originals error: (32, 'DeleteFile', 'Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird.') |

another program is accessing a file you want to delete. It may be another part of Calibre
Close (shutdown) the Viewer and/or the Editor. (these can have stand alone use) |

Exclude the calibre library folder from your antivirus and any filesync programs such as onedrive/dropbox whatever.

@Zorro72 - Did you try running calibre in Safe Mode
Which anti virus software are you using? Do you use cloud storage - Dropbox, OneDrive, whatever? Is your library in your Documents folder? BR |
