Calibre does not save metadata for Publisher and Published

Hello!

The problem is: when i save to disk books with changed metadata, it turns out that, metadata in columns Publisher and Published are the same as they were before changing.

At the same time Authors, Title, cover, etc. are changed.

I mean, after deleting the books from calibre and reloading changed versions (saved to disc before) I see in Publisher and Published old data.

Publisher and Published are saved only if i create separated OFD file. And if I delet OFD file and reload the book into library Publisher and Published data changes to default.

What's wrong and is there a way fix it?

P.S. I have tried to set differet settings, clear publisher, edit both in bulk and individually, any a can imagine... It's all the same. =(

Not all formats support all metadata. What format are you saving them in?

Nope, the fb2 metadata plugin has no support for setting publisher.

Ok, thank.

One more problem: I have 10 books by Author 1 and 3 of them also have Author 2. I use "&" in Author field and programm see 2 author and it's ok.

But on my pocketbook in list of authors I see two positions: "Author 1" - 7 books and "Author 1, Author 2" - 3 books.

Is it how pocketbook works or I can somehow make it show "Author 1" - 10 books and "Author 2" - 3 books?

No idea, never had access to a PocketBook. And I added support for setting publisher and pubdate (year) in fb2 will be in next release.
