EPUB Conversion Problem
Hi all,
I am in the process of formatting my first ever ebook, and have a couple of formatting problems that I'm hoping to get help with. I've created my ebook with the Reedsy free editor, and imported the EPUB into Calibre. My first step has been to edit the ebook (very basic editing, of changing the order of the end-matter chapters, by dragging and dropping them to new positions). I've then saved this file, and converted to MOBI. The MOBI file is fine, and reflects the new chapter order that I've edited and saved. But the edited EPUB file is displaying the chapters in the same order as the original file I imported from Reedsy. Also, the new EPUB file has created some strange line breaks in between some paragraphs and sections, (please see attached screenshot). Any advice would be gratefully received! |

As an update to this post, I have now figured out how to re-arrange the TOCs order. The line breaks are occurring when I re-convert the files to reduce the size. So my workflow is:
Import Reedsy EPUB Edit and convert to MOBI (this works fine) Convert MOBI back to EPUB (to reduce file size - this is when the paragraph errors appear) Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. |
