John Gordon Brandon (1879 - 1941 or 1942). There is not a huge amount of information online about him, but he created Patrick Aloysius McCarthy detective series.

Possible Brandon's first published book, is a detective thriller inspired by Bulldog Drummond.

This version was created from a scan/OCR of a personal UK physical copy from 1924. Basic epub conversion using Calibre.

Nicely done on these two mysteries.

All I had to do was set the metadata the way I like it [on calibre]:

1) Period after author's middle name
2) 'The' added to the title
