Calibre Metadata & Plugboard Questions

Hi Everyone,

I had a few quick questions if you don't mind.

1 - In the series column, I assume the book # is being referenced in between the brackets? Where is Calibre pulling that info from?
i.e. The Wheel of Time [10]

2 - I added a custom field "reading_order". What would be the proper format to use in Plugboard so the file is uploaded to my Kindle Paperwhite (gen 10) as "reading order" - "book name" (series name)?
i.e. 02 - The Great Hunt (Wheel of Time)

3 - As a test, I changed the title in Calibre and used Send to Device to upload the book to my kindle. It looks like it updated the copy already on the kindle rather than add a second copy. Is that correct behavior? Super convenient if it is.

Series index and series is metadata sourced from various sites (also depends on your selected plugins and their settings).
Series IS NOT DC metadata.
some publishers do include a Calibre compatible entry

Note: Various site do not always agree. Some of this is because USERS populate the site from their metadata. Plan on always massaging your metadata

Remember all custom column template must have the hash name {#name} that you see if you hover over the column title
