Kill the nag screens

As someone who had already paid for the ios CC, I do not want to see the NAG screens for subscribing each time I select CC; I do not want to see the "CC" dialogue when I open CC.

When I select a book to read in MapleReader, I do not want to see a dialogue saying that a copy was made to the importable queue; I believe that the user just want the selected reader to open the book to begin reading & not go thru another process to start reading.

I think I will just stop using the ios CC. If the same thing happens with the android version of CC, then CC no longer becomes useful product as other choices/methods are available for the reader.

Hey,

To stop the subscription screen every time the app is re-opened, you will need to subscribe to CC.

The subscription is primarily to help support the future development of Calibre Companion. The previous developers sold CC to our team because it had become an unsupportable app based on the existing revenue. We made this change to subscription to help us upgrade multiple components of the app such as libraries in the code, API's that were becoming deprecated, and scaling issues. These initial improvements seem behind the scenes like we aren't working hard to improve the app but will allow us to start building new features that will continue to roll out for the app.

In regards to MapleReader, this is helpful feedback that I'll take back to our team.

If you can provide more detailed feedback (Screenshots and step by step process), can you please send it to ccfeedback@goldtreeway.com.

Thanks,
Alex

I subscribed for an annual subscription on my iPad. Doesn’t that also include my iPhone? I keep getting the nag screen on my iPhone. Seems like overreach if you want a separate subscription for my second device.

Is your iphone and ipad on the same apple itunes account email? CC will not present the subscription page if you are signed into the same itunes account.

Are both devices using the same Apple ID? Are your other apps working correctly on both devices?

Yes, I only have one Apple ID for my iPad and my iPhone. I love CC in combination with Marvin and don't have any problems with other apps on both devices. I suppose as a last resort I could delete and reinstall CC on my iPhone to see if that makes a difference, but then I'd lose all the read info and I have over 600 books in calibre - not all read yet.
