Dr. Drib recommended a book
It was on Amazon and about a million pages long (roughly) and I think it was horror stories or supernatural stories or something similar.

Does anyone have that link?

I've searched a lot and can't find the original reference.

Yes -- that was exactly it. 27652 pages, I wasn't off by much. At 99 cents cost that comes to more than 276 pages per penny. A nice bargain.

By the way, at the beginning of this massive collection of stories and novels, there is a very detailed survey of horror literature from the 1700's to the early 1900's by H. P. Lovecraft. Just by itself it is well worth the fraction of a penny that it costs.
