New errors Calibre & Kindle

1. I've been using Calibre for years and very happy - running Windows 10 Pro
2. However, after installing any later version (4.1.0 or 4.7.0) beyond Calibre-3.47.1 - Calibre literally locks up after selecting to Convert Books from Kindle...
3. I've installed later versions, however; after Calibre locked up - I removed and reinstalled 3.47.1 in order to keep using Calibre...
4. Now I am getting messages in 3.47.1 that say DRM Issues with converting Kindle Books and thus unable to convert...
5. I installed 4.1.0 then 4.7.0... At conversion Calibre locks up and no messages are even displayed... I have installed the latest plugins but that didn't help...
PLEASE - Any suggestions are welcome... Ed

Try Calibre 4.9.1. It's the current version. The versions you are trying are now old.

If 4.9.1 does not work, try safe more. If that works, then it's something you run at startup. If you use an AV/Malware other then Windows Defender, disable it.

Is it possible there was supposed to be a Dialog that you never saw (because it is now off screen. Known issue without a fix)

When it happens:
Apt+space: M , then a bunch of left arrows : Grab and position, then continue

Done & Done... the ALT space M worked to see popups off screen...
just downloaded 4.10.1 and it looks like the issue is resolved...
