Sending via e-mail to Amazon

I see a thread from about a month ago on this topic. I'm having the same issue but since much of that thread went to a new topic, I'm starting over.

I have been e-mailing from Calibre to Amazon for years - well before they stopped accepting g-mail.

For the last 2 weeks or so, Amazon is rejecting everything I send. After reading the previous thread, I did an "aggressive" uninstall and just to satisfy my curiosity, I installed Calibre V 3.48.0.

Everything that has failed for the last two weeks was sent fine. I upgraded to 4.9.1 - all of the same items failed.

I did another uninstall and went back to 3.48.0 - success. I installed 4.7.0 - failure with the same books.

My technical skills are limited but there must be a fix for this. Any suggestions before I go back to 3.48.0.

Running Windows 10 Home, Version 1809.

Thank you.

There are no differences between 3.x and 4.x when it comes to sending mail. Most likely your antivirus/firewall has decided to block calibre 4.x but not calibre 3.x

Thank you. Actually it seems to be the GMX server settings.

The discussion from August 2016 regarding gmail and mailing to Amazon popped up today while I was navigating. Back then, to get gmx to work, I had to change the setting to port 465 and SSL.

Just tried that with both 4.7 and 4.9.1 and both sent the problematic book without a blip.

Glad to be back in business. Thank you.
