Hello!
I hope you can help with this: I'm looking for an e-reader that has wi-fi and good Internet browser. What I mean with "good Internet browser"? I mean one that allows surfing the Net and accessing e-reading platforms - platforms in which certain bookshops make available their ebooks - you can't download the ebooks, just reading them through that platform. What's your experience with internet browsers in ereaders? I know they are lame, but isn't there any ereader with a "normal" internet access and browser?... Many thanks! |

For this, you're really better off getting a tablet and Amazon sells tablets that are cheaper than their e-ink readers. |

I tried with a Likebook Mimas. While its browser is not entirely broken for "normal" navigation it is unable to render books from https://galicia.ebiblio.es/opac/#indice, which are intended to be displayed online or available via ADE.
The same library provides an android application, based on webview, which is still unable to display most titles on the catalog. Specially if they're bloated with images or are just pdfs. Pair that with page turn animations on e-ink: a big nope for me. I'm fine reading the same books on my apple & huawei tablets. |

Regular Android LCD tablet is only solution that does sensible Web pages. About €120 for 10". Then PDFs, Manga, Comics work too.
Some of the cheaper 7" are too slow. Use a 6" or 7" Kobo to read novels. |

I use my computer to browse the internet, then download, load into Calibre, sideloa, and read. However it's a lot of work. I hope recipes can simplify the process a bit.
