Book listing issue

Since installing Calibre 64bit 4.8.0 I am no longer to configure both authors and tag in ascending alphabetical order. Say I click on the Tags column, tags are displayed ascending alphabetically. If I then click on the Authors tag, the listing is ascending but the Tag column is jumbled (as it would be).

I used to do this - click the Author column - authors were list alphabetically, ascending. I would then click the Tag column tags would be listed alphabetically ascending and so were the authors. Doesn't work now. Best I can get is Tag listed alphabetically with authors listed descending for each tag. Having used Calibre for some years it's jarring to have these changes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a Preferences: tweaks that affects cascaded sorts

# Set the maximum number of sort 'levels'

maximum_resort_levels = 3

I can't imagine that getting stomped during an update. (and I think 3 is the default, even if it did get rebuilt. You should have also notice other tweaks missing)
WAIT A MINUTE... TAGS COLUMN?
Tags are in the sidebar and don't change with any sort. Only Filters affect how many are shown.

Now there is a Tag Browser setting (at the bottom LEFT), that allows Nam,e Number of books or Average rating
OR have you rolled your own, custom column?

Hey theducks, thanks for replying. Not sure what you mean about tags being in the sidebar - I'm talking about managing my library on my PC. Are you think of Calibre Companion where tags are indeed in the sidebar.

Nope: The Tag Browser is a Sidebar, not a column. Go ahead, click the luggage tag in the lower right corner.

FWIW I just run with all those closed unless I need them. One screen full spreadsheet

@jukin - check the Preferences->Look and Feel->Tag Browser settings, and the various Tag Browser related Tweaks - search for Tag.

Thanks for your help guys. Seems to be fixed by me doing this:

Look & Feel - Book Details - select Author Sort

Never had to configure this before so hopefully it's good now.
