Where is the "paste as html"

hi,

In previous version of Sigil, when I pasted something I would get a popup asking if I wanted to paste raw text or if I wanted the layout to remain.

For me, this was one of the most useful feature of sigil... but where is it now? It always pastes raw text in the middle of the html

Short answer: If you paste directly into Sigil it only pastes the text, with no HTML codes. If you paste into PageEdit it will either keep the codes, if present, or do its best to create basic tags (<p></p>, <br/>, etc) to make it legal html.

This pageEdit stuff is really confusing... there isn't even a picture of it on the homepages. I just hope I have still got a backup of an older version of sigil portable somewhere

PageEdit cuts the amount of work to get there in half.

1 click on the PageEdit icon (looks like a pencil on a page) instead of double click on the tab.

There are lots of threads and basic instructions here to get it set up. It's as easy as:
1) download PageEdit
2) install PageEdit
3) go to Sigil preferences and assign PageEdit as your external HTML editor of choice.

Why would you need a back up of an older version of Sigil portable? We make every official version of Sigil released since 2014 available on Sigil's Github Releases page.

And we have no pictures of Sigil OR PageEdit on Sigil's "homepage." Never have posted any pictures.
