Simulating cover sleep - KV
I used to use a folio cover with my KV which meant autosleep and autoawake. My hands thank me for switching to a band and ring strap instead, but the button on the back of the unit is seeing a lot of use now...
Does the magnet of folio cases play some part in the sleep/wake mechanism? I can't simulate it by covering the screen with my body, a pillow or anything else. I won't have a problem changing the switch someday, but I'd still like it to last. |

Yep, it's a hall effect sensor. You basically just have to know/figure out where the sensor is, and a not-utterly-weak magnet will do the trick.
People have been known to sew a magnet in their custom cases/sleeves ![]() |
