Search for same or similar titled books

Hi. Is there any way to search directly in Calibre for books with the same title or with similar title? In authors we can choose to search internally in calibre when clicking on the author, is it possible to create something similar for the title, with the help of a custom column? I know I can search for duplicates, but I don't want to see all the duplicates, just the books with either the same title or something similar. Where a search for/on Hobbit in title would give me both "Hobbit" and "The Hobbit". |

There are a number of algorithms that could be used - Levenshtein (Edit) distance and Jaccard similarity are two that come to mind - GitHub has Python implementations. DaltonSt might be interested in creating a new plugin, or adding something it to one of his existing plugins. Would be good if it could have a choice of algorithms. BR |

For the cited search (Hobbit, The Hobbit) the standard search works perfectly. In Title put Hobbit, and it will have all the titles in which Hobbit or hobbit appears. |

I was looking for something where I can either click on the title or a keyboard short-cut and have it search for books with either same or similar titles.

Maybe a "Find Similar Titles as current book" could be added to the Find Duplicates plugin options. BR |

I was going to also suggest the Find Duplicates Plugin. It has many comparison OPTIONS for either Author OR Title and it offers different Results Display options |

I still need an option for when I've marked something as duplicate, how to find the specific duplicate again.

How about adding increasing numbers to a column? That would make it much easier to spot, especially if they are like tags? First duplicate: 1 Second duplicate: 2 Third duplicate: 3 and so forth. |

Personally, I would rather NOT add any extra data to the metadata.DB for the rare use (I only check once every few months) case. | |

Can I create a template in a custom column that would let me add an ID to every set of duplicates the Find Duplicates PI finds?
