[Kindle Oasis] Before I Muck Things Up

Calibre Question - NOT Oasis question. I mentioned the device because they need that info.

I just reset my Oasis due to a wifi weirdness that occurred last night. I no longer have wifi on it and I prefer that. when I copied my Calibre content back that I had backed up before doing a fr, there were no covers. what is the best way to get the covers back?

just delete it all and send over again? or can I just add the covers, and where do the Calibre covers actually live on the Oasis/PW?

I deleted everything and started again so the cover issue has been solved.

would still like to know if the Calibre covers reside in a folder, as on previous kindles. thanks.

Hidden system folder on Kindle USB.

Iirc, it's:

/system/thumbnails

By the way, the question of "where" is a Kindle/device question as the location is device-specific.

thank you. admittedly, I didn't ask this question properly.

I wanted to know, in general, can you update only the covers, on any device, as in what is the procedure in Calibre, if it is in fact possible, or must you send over the book again? I looked and couldn't find a way to only refresh a cover if, for instance, I got a new cover I wanted on the book, etc.

the location of the covers was an afterthought attached on to the question because I looked and didn't find them.

I was pretty ill by the time I posted that question and too sick to be on the forum to begin with but also very bored.
