Can not charge the Boox Note 2 with a MacBook USB-C charger
Hi all. I just received a new Boox Note 2 but I can't charge the device with a Macbook USB-C charger. I also tried to charge it directly in an outlet with a USB port but it didn't work. It only work with the small charger comes with the device.
The cable also doesn't connect all the way to the Note 2 USB-C port. There is a small gap when I connect the cable to the Note 2's USB-C port Could anyone please let me know if this is normal or my new device is defected? Thank you. |

Hmm, I received the Boox Max 3 a few days ago and haven't had exactly this problem, but others related to the USB port. Stuff such as I would have difficulties moving files or getting it recognized, otherwise for a little while my laptop was trying to charge *from* the Boox.
Have you tried other cables and also rebooting your device and or laptop? It could be worth a try. I am using a Nintendo Switch cable with a MacBook charger because they were already plugged in on my power strip. I haven't tried the cable included in the box. As a fellow new user, don't forget to add a compatible cloud account such as OneNote. It helped simplify my workflow, which I admit still isn't as smooth as when I worked with an iPad... but the note taking experience with the built in app is definitely on par. Good luck! |

I can conform on that there is a small gap b/t the port and cable when plug in (got mine today). They probably designed and put a shorter than normal female end.
And mine is working fine with the charger I been using on my phones/ other tablets with type C ala Belkin QC4 usb c to usb c, and just tested it working on some other chargers (Samsung w/ type a to c), and an anker battery bank with type a ports. So maybe just it doesn't work with a Macbook charger? ![]() |

I'm also finding the Boox Nova Pro is very fussy about usb-c connection and charging. Will only work with the supplied usb-c to usb-a cable for me.
Charging/connecting via a Macbook usb-c port, or my usb-c wall chargers won't work with my usb-c to usb-c cables. If I add a usb-a adapter to them and use the supplied a>c cable they work. |
