PDF -> Mobi: Images loose position

Hi everybody,

I would like to convert some PDFs into Mobi. Thereby, I noticed that the images I have within the PDF are all at the beginning of the mobi file and not at the appropriate place within the text of the first page. To be clear, I have the following structure on the first page of a pdf:

Text
Picture
Text
Picture

And the resulting mobi structure at the moment is:
Picture
Picture
Text
Text

Look at the Sticky section of this section about PDF conversions.

Now you know first hand WHY PDF is the worst source.

It is a Paste up format. What you got was closer to the order it was pasted up at.

It's not a Calibre problem. PDFs are only meant as Proof for Paper or a file to print on paper WYSIWYG. They are not a useful content source.

It is fairly easy in the code editor to clip and paste the Image code CONTAINING BLOCK into a better place (Correcting IN the EPUB).

The advantage: No further 'source conversion' , you work on a true ebook format.
