Starting Calibre-Server with multiple Librarys
Hi,
I've installed an Debian-Server which startes the Calibre-Server headless on Startup using an system service. It works find. The only Question I have is: How can I pase multiple calibre librarys from commandline? I tried: calibre-server "path to lib1" "path to lib2" and as an bash array calibre-server ("path to lib1" "path to lib2") nothing work. I would be glad, if someone can help me. thx |

What do you expect it to do, combine the books from multiple libraries?

Has the CLI server changed from what it was years ago?
Back then, you had to start multiple servers. Each ONE had a UNIQUE port and Library call out on the command line ![]() ![]() ![]() Of coarse, this might be a bit hard to setup on a headless system. You need to do the equivelant of a Switch/Create: Use Existing to get the value into the configuration |

Multiple Librarys in Calibre Server
Thanks for the first replys. I guess, there are some missunderstandings.
First, if I start Calibre-GUI, create different librarys and then start the internal server, you can choose the used library after login to the web page (see attache). I want to create this behaviour using the command line by using the calibre-server. But the calibre-server cli didn't use the multiple librarys from command line. And sorry, I didn't find this inside the manual. |

The calibre-server command is documented here. You can specify a single library to use. If you do not specify a library then it will allow selection between all the libraries known by the GUI interface.

In other words: Do NOT specify the Library, then it will use all (just like the GUI)
This does assume you are running on the same system, so the config file is present that has the paths to those already discovered. |
